When Jesus commanded the disciples to "Go therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit", that commission included the disabled individuals as well.
That is why Christ Special Ministries felt an obligation to create Handi-Pal's. A Handi-Pal is an individual with no disability that lives near a disabled person.
The Handi-Pal's job is to make sure that the person that they adopt, has transportation to services, spiritual training appointments, and conducts miscellaneous personal errands as needed; without pay.
God is especially concerned about the
handicapped individuals; He said,
"When you have a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind";
and you shall be blessed.
Remember God Loves Everybody; Yes, There is Another Congregation, and they are Christ's Special Children-- the Disabled.
