Workshop Benefits Local Non-Profit

Twenty NI professionals gathered with three Ashera Project board members to develop solutions to the organization's challenges at April's Real Challenge Workshop. Ashera Project works with Reagan High School students, in a group counseling environment, to promote positive development and career planning. Reagan is a troubled environment where only 1/3 of students reach graduation. In contrast, 90% of Ashera Project seniors will be graduating this year! Primary opportunities for Ashera Project, as identified by the group, have been summarized as Focus, Engagement, and Influence. Several actions were recommended, in each category, to empower Ashera Project in becoming self-sufficient and enabling expansion of those services that most benefit the students. We will continue to follow Ashera Project and report out on the impact made by these NI members.
